Cancer and infectious diseases have captured the headlines all around the world, and yet little is still known. NAAAP Vancouver is fortunate to have great leaders in these fields to educate our members on the most recent information and insights in these areas. Come join us for some networking, knowledge, awareness and of course, some delicious dim sum.

"Let's Do Dim Sum" is free for NAAAP members (just the cost of the food), and $10 for non-members and guests, plus cost of food.

NAAAP Vancouver’s July Dim Sum event will feature two speakers, NAAAP members Drs. Raymond See and Jason Wong. Raymond is the Scientific Director of a Genome Canada project whose goal is to develop new drugs and vaccines for emerging infectious diseases. Jason is a Research Associate at the BC Cancer Agency, and is conducting a genome-wide screen for genes which regulate the growth of cancer cells. Come and network over dim sum with your NAAAP colleagues while our resident scientists share their insights from leading edge research happening right here in Vancouver.

We will also be speaking about some of the updates on our exciting Spotlight on Leadership Event coming this Fall. We welcome interested volunteers who want to join one of our committees to attend and find out how they can contribute their talents and energy to what will be a fantastic community event. It will be a great networking opporunity and an chance to outreach to the community.
