President’s Welcome

Welcome to a unique Asian association in Vancouver: one with continental reach and depth; one with access to thousands of young Asian professionals from every industry and occupational field; and one with connections to a membership committed to supporting one another professionally, culturally and socially. We are NAAAP Vancouver – the North American Association of Asian Professionals.

The Vancouver venture of NAAAP formed in 1998 in response to a need in the Asian community for a professional association where members could share knowledge and learn the skills required to foster career advancement and success. NAAAP Vancouver’s mission is to cultivate leadership in the Asian community and to inspire a generation of creative idea-collaborators, action-makers and risk-takers to prepare for the challenges that lay ahead. The world is a place of rapid change that comes quickly from every direction. NAAAP provides its members with the skills and the tools to not only survive this challenging environment, but to thrive and to lead others along the same path to success.

We provide a friendly environment for our members to network and to establish new relationships. Along with hosting year-round professional development seminars and networking events, we also organize cultural events to increase awareness of Vancouver’s diverse Asian communities. Whether it is a workshop on negotiation skills or a networking seminar featuring successful role models from the business community, NAAAP provides smart, informative events and the means to link asian professionals here in Vancouver with each other and with other professionals across North America.

NAAAP has created an organization for all Asian professionals and those with an interest in the Asian community. We aim to gather like-minded people together to develop a mindset for personal success and to build a culture of active contribution and community collaboration.
